The Ultimate Getaway (below) is a thrill-of-a-lifetime getaway & culinary adventure. The 2-4 day exclusive packages are packed with experiences that will take up to 14 adventurers from the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area to an Oregon wine dinner 6-7,000 feet up the slopes of Mt. Hood to world-famous Pinot noir country to battling Chinook salmon on the rugged Oregon coast... and everything adventure & epicurean in between. You may choose the 2 day, 3 day or 4 day getaway.

~ DAY 1 ~ Mt. Hood/Columbia River Gorge

• Getaway Plan: (weekdays-8:45-4:30pm; weekends 9:45-5:30pm (preferred) or 8:30-4:00pm).  For the weekend brunch cruise (8:30-4:00pm).

  • Visit the Columbia River Gorge waterfalls.

  • Picnic lunch or restaurant stop at Multnomah Falls.

  • Afternoon sightseeing cruise on the Sternwheeler Columbia Gorge or...for weekends...sightseeing cruise or brunch cruise on the Sternwheeler Columbia Gorge.

  • Tour and brewmasters lunch at Full Sail Brewing in Hood River if you skip the Sternwheeler cruise.

  • Timberline Lodge – dinner at the Cascade dining room.*

  • In addition, your group will have plenty of 'down time' when you won't be with your guide and your able to just enjoy where you are and what your doing alone with your friends or family.

• Sleep: Timberline Lodge*

* Cascade dining room $30-$44 per entrée (appetizers, soups & salads and desserts are extra).  Lesser expensive options are available in either the Blue Ox Bar or Rams Head Bar.  Winemaker’s Dinner Series - Ride to Silcox hut at Timberline Lodge for the Winemaker’s Dinner Series prepared by chef Jason Stoller Smith ($175 pp).  Lodging at Timberline Lodge $32-$63 pp for Chalet room 2-10 ppl.  $80 pp for 1 queen (2 ppl).  Request the Silcox hut for dinner and/or overnight lodging at 7,500 feet on Mt. Hood for that extra special adventure (call for custom pricing). The Sternwheeler Columbia Gorge operates May-October Weekdays May-October 1:00pm-3:00pm; Saturday, Sunday 10:00am-Noon & 2:00pm-4:00pm.  Weekend brunch cruise operates 10-12 noon.  Tour will start 4 hours 15 minutes before the departure of the Columbia Sternwheeler Cruise.

~ DAY 2 ~ Willamette Valley

• Getaway Plan:

  • Breakfast at Timberline Lodge & ride on the Magic Mile chairlift to Silcox Hut (if available).

  • Wine tasting with winemaker’s* at several (4) of our favorite off or way-off-the-beaten-track wineries.

  • Picnic Lunch at one of our favorite winery picnic grounds or Canas Feast winery/restaurant in the summer.  Fall through spring we will stop at Canas Feast winery or one of our favorite wine country restaurants.*

  • In addition, your group will have plenty of 'down time' when you won't be with your guide and your able to just enjoy where you are and what your doing alone with your friends or family.

• Sleep: Head back home or sleep at the cool Hotel Oregon, Willamette Valley Wine Country and go on to day #3 with a Winemaker Dinner at Bistro Maison (French Bistro) in McMinnville.

• Getaway Plan:

  • Sleep: Sleep at the Hotel Oregon, Willamette Valley Wine Country.

  • Winemaker Dinner at Farm to Fork in Dundee (day 2)

  • Breakfast at the Black Walnut Inn

  • Head to the coast for deep sea fishing and Oregon Dungeness crabbing at Garibaldi in Tillamook Bay.  Salmon/Halibut fishing are seasonal and may be available at additional cost.

  • Oregon Bounty picnic lunch onboard

  • Seafood dinner with the Rising Star Cafe offering Gourmet food in Wheeler or if you just want some good grub the  Fisherman's Korner in Geribaldi offers great Clam Chowder and Halibut Fish & Chips meals. Chef John Newman of Newman’s at 988 (French Italian Cuisine) in Cannon Beach offers fine dining.*

  • In addition, your group will have plenty of 'down time' when you won't be with your guide and your able to just enjoy where you are and what your doing alone with your friends or family.

• Sleep: Return to Portland or sleep at the Ocean Lodge, Cannon Beach

  • Rising Star Cafe - offers gourmet seafood in Wheeler.

  • Fisherman's Korner - Geribaldi; offers just some good grub and great clam chowder and halibut fish & chips meals.
